Body Sugaring Recipe
Beauty Products can often leave you broke because they’re so over-priced. Worse of all, they don’t even work half the time. Scientists often seem to think they can do better than mother nature when it comes to solving your top skin problems. Sometimes scientists succeed, but for the most part, natural fruits and minerals were put on this earth to naturally fix your health and beauty concerns. How do you think the beautiful queens and princesses of the past centuries coped without harsh chemicals and artificial scents and added colors? They used all natural beauty products that actually worked. We’ve created a special beauty guide for you to save money and make your own beauty products using the same safe and effective ingredients that have been around for centuries.
There is a method called body sugaring, which you have probably heard of before. It is painful, but not as painful as waxing. You don’t need to use strips, and the more often you do it, the less you will feel it, and your hair will grow in slower, finer, and less.
What you’ll need:
2 cups of sugar
1/4 cup of lemon juice
and a candy thermometer. These can be found in most cooking tool isles of large department stores.
In a pot, cook the sugar and lemon juice over medium or high heat while stirring and use your candy thermometer to detect once it’s reached between “soft ball” and “hard ball”. As soon as this happens, pour the mixture into a bowl or container immediately. Be careful, it will be scalding hot and sticky. Let it cool in the fridge. After it’s totally cooled off, set it at room temperature to make sure you can scoop it out easily with your hand. Before you begin sugaring, your legs should be free of oil or lotion, otherwise the sugar won’t stick.
Now that you have a palm-sized glob of body sugar in your hand, smooth it up your leg, against the way the hair grows and immediately pull it down. You have to act fast to make sure it doesn’t melt all over your hands and leg. Your body heat will make it stick to your leg and you won’t be able to finish unless you wash off, dry thoroughly, and start over again. You have to press kind of hard and it will hurt your hand digging it out of the bowl more than the actual ripping of the hair, but in the end, your soft, smooth legs will be so worth it.
homemade beauty products like this are easy to make, fun, and so much cheaper than getting a service done at a spa or even buying a home waxing kit. This is the same method ancient Egyptian Queen Cleopatra used to keep hairless and smooth. Hope you enjoyed!
