MLM Leads - Can You Avoid These Deadly MLM Mistakes?
Network Marketing Training - Mistake #1
When I first started in MLM, guess what my upline told me to do…”let’s start compiling a list of your friends and family members and call them, hand them cds dvds, at least 3 of them will be-come your downline.” I made a list of about 120 people that I think that are qualified to start an mlm business…and here I go…

Me- “Hello, hey what’s up it’s Eric Su, remember me from XXX’s house?”
Stanley- “oh, ya what’s up man how you doing?”
Me- “I’m good thanks man.”
Me-“ The reason I’m calling you is because I just started an online business, and just wonder if you might be interested in making some extra money, it will only take you 1 to 2 hours a day… and you will be able to quit your job in 3 months.”
Stanley “Uh…what is this about? Did you join some kind of pyramid scheme or some shiet like that?”
Me – “No it’s not a pyramid scheme it’s completely legal and plus we have a proven system that millionaires created to help you succeed.”
Stanley- “well, I don’t think I’m interested man…sorry…”
Sounds familiar?
Guess what happen to the other 119 people…they all gave me the similar answers.
You see, nearly everyone in this industry has had experiences like that.
The truth is – building a huge downline is nothing to do with your warm market. Forget what your upline told you. They are dead wrong. WRONG WRONG WRONG.
Your warm market is not your market:
Reason #1 By pitching your warm market, will you only hurt your relationship with them but also destroy your creditability.
Reason #2 Your warm list is not targeted, most of them have no experiences in building a business. They don’t know anything about how to market a MLM business, you think they can succeed? Even if they really joined you, they will quit or fail before you even noticed. Way to build a substantial downline…
Come on, leave your friends and family alone. There are thousands of highly targeted and motivated people waiting for you to sponsor. I will show you how to find them in the later chapters. Please bear with me.
MLM Training - Mistake #2
Have you ever been on a 3-way call with your upline to close your prospects for you?
If you find a hot prospect Mike, who seems very interested, he’s always asking questions about your company, so you decided to do a 3-way call with your upline Tony to help close for you.
You listen as Tony(upline) throwing all the selling tactics that were used on you when you joined. You listen as Mike(prospect) sounds frustrated and confused because he could not get his biggest questions answered but had to listen to all the hardcore selling talk blah blah blah from your upline.
At the end, you thought you could do better…you had to let Mike(prospects) go because Mike was turned off by the call and never answer his phone again…
You lost your prospects by letting your upline do YOUR BUSINESS for you. This is your busi-ness not your upline’s or anyone else’s business. You’re the owner of your business.
Ya maybe you have a very experienced sponsor who is very persuasive and could get your prospects to say yes in 5 minutes but…
Put yourself in your prospects shoes,
Will you want to be sponsored by a person who had to ask for assistance from his upline to do a simple phone call?
Creditability is the name of the game.
Where’s your creditability when you do a 3 way call with your upline when your upline is doing all the work, answering all the questions, and pre-training your prospects.
3-way calls will only establish your upline as an expert NOT you.
3-way calls will only position yourself as a newbie, a follower which is the worst spot in your prospects eyes of views…but does nothing good for your business.
Avoid doing 3-way calls.
There’s an absolute solution to your creditability problems, and I will discuss this later on. Be patient.
